Recruiting talented locals is a top priority for GASCO.

The number of UAE nationals currently employed at GASCO represent approximately 30 percent of the entire Company population.The goal is to increase this number by selecting high-qualified and also young locals to work in all areas of the Company.

GASCO has put in place a strategic approach in the training, development and integration of UAE national staff at all levels in the organization. Some of the steps taken in this direction include the creation and inclusion of:

Competency-based Personal Development Plan

Ensures that all competencies are identified for the target position of each UAE national.

GASCO’s Performance Appraisal System

Reflects the important role of each employee in the training and development of UAE nationals.

Competency Assurance Management System

Includes training and development to prepare UAE nationals to assume positions with independent responsibility and further career progression by going through three phases of structured and intense competency development training involving orientation, on the job training, competency assessment, verification and much more.

GASCO Technical Training Center

Guarantees new UAE national employees become skilled members of the workforce through a competency-based approach that uses practical exercises and leading training technologies. In addition to job skills, the GTTC creates an environment where trainees learn workplace values, such as lifelong learning, work ethics and a commitment to health, safety and environmental issues.

Scholarship and Internship Programs

Provides scholarships for Masters Degree through a cooperation with the Petroleum Institute and internships for students at recognized institutions.
