    GASCO is Committed…

    GASCO realizes the impact it has on its surrounding environment and plays a vital and proactive role in assisting the community.

    In terms of its impact on the environment, GASCO has its Health, Safety and Environment policies ingrained in all its business processes and it is treated as top priority. GASCO seeks zero-flaring wherever possible to minimize negative impact on the environment.

    Given that major operations are located in the Western Region, GASCO is actively involved in developing the region.

    Participations in Local community events

    In cooperation with the Zayed Higher Foundation for Welfare in Madinat Zayed, GASCO participated in sponsoring the annual ((Traditions)) campaign. This year’s campaign was held under the title ((My Heritage My Self Pride)), for which GASCO donated a library rich with historical and cultural books and installed at the Welfare Center at Madinat Zayed.

    GASCO also participated in a marathon for the people with special needs and cosponsored by GASCO, Local Schools and Local Police Department. A number of Department Managers from Habshan Plant represented GASCO in this event.

    GASCO ‘Paperless Day’ Campaign

    In coordination with the Environment Awareness Sector Environment Agency (EAD), Abu Dhabi, GASCO united efforts with UNEP on the occasion of the World Environment Day (WED - 4th June, 2009) under the theme of “Your Planet Needs You - Unite to Combat Climate Change” to reduce its daily paper consumption.

    Sas Al Nakhil Island Clean Up program

    Pipelines participated in the “Sas Al Nakhil Island Clean Up” program organized by CNIA and sponsored by Takreer, Gasco, Adnoc Distribution, Petroleum Institute and ADWEC on 05th May 2009. The program was inaugurated by H.H. Sheikh Ahmed Bin Thahnoon Al Nahyan, Chairman of CNIA.

    GASCO Water & Electricity Campaign

    The Water & Electricity Campaign was launched in 2008 and aimed to educate and inform the general public about the importance of conserving our limited resources. The campaign was directed at all GASCO employees as well as other OPCOs in addition to the general public that involved various schools and malls.
