GASCO has always been a leading company in many aspects which has enabled us to stand today where we are: as an excellent Company with a bright future ahead of it. We are continuously striving to find new ways to improve and we are continuously challenged by our ambitious initiatives. In order to sustain our aggressive expansion plans we need a set of sound strategies that will support our journey. Being excellent mandates we make it a habit for ourselves to routinely check our performance. It is in this vein that GASCO has identified its people’s readiness to partake in yet another exciting journey: a Journey Towards Excellence, one that is focused on People and Quality. It is as such that GASCO’s Leadership Team identified its first step towards a comprehensive Quality Management System starting with ISO 9001 certification.
In moving forward, we will continue with our basic principles of putting safety first, caring for our people as well as serving our customers’ needs. We need to continue to revise our policies and strategies to enable the delivery of optimum results.
Only through well planned change can we achieve our ambition of Excellence.
Further, GASCO identified ISO as its preferred approach to deliver the following results:
The Journey of ISO 9001 at GASCO began by conducting awareness sessions to all sites and HQ employees. So far 815 employees attended the 29 courses that were conducted. To support the journey, 29 Management Representatives from each division were nominated and were heavily trained to drive and coordinate the project. Further, 110 Internal Quality Auditors are currently certified and lend their skills in the pre-audit phase. The Corporate Excellence Division was created to oversee the process and ensure its success with a dedicated Department focused on Quality manned by an expert team. However, the role and responsibility of each employee in driving this process remains a top priority and only with a highly committed and dedicated workforce can we achieve this goal.
Once GASCO becomes ISO certified we plan to move towards an effectiveness and optimization phase in which sustainability of our current work will be addressed. We will also address inefficient work processes to move towards more effective work practices. Eventually we will be able to create a culture of continuous improvement that will enable us to continuously innovate and sustain our growth. It is our continuous pursuit of excellence that will energize our efforts and dictate our future outlooks.
