Gasco Technical Training Cenntre (GTTC)

Mission

GTTC’s Mission is to meet GASCO’s manpower needs by ensuring new UAE National employees become competent members of the workforce through a competency-based approach that uses practical exercises and state-of-the-art training technologies. In addition to job skills, the GTTC creates an environment where trainees learn workplace values, such as, lifelong learning, work ethics and a commitment to health, safety and environmental issues.

These goals are accomplished by:

Maintaining an atmosphere of trust that allows trainees to challenge, to take risks, to collaborate and assume responsibility for independent work

Providing a wide range of practical learning experiences and encourage trainees to be active participants in their personal development

Recognizing the trainees capacity for learning, growth and provide them opportunities for success

Objectives

The GTTC is committed to the CAMS principles. GTTC curriculum was established by incorporating competencies identified by GASCO sites as outlined in the discipline specific PDPs. Using this approach allows the GTTC to provide GASCO with a trained workforce that is competent and be able to assume established duties within a few months of their plant assignments. In addition, the center will also provide training to established staff in order to eliminate specific competency gaps or improve specific technical skills.
